Problems with Gigabyte X570 gaming x ram issues
Hi,
I’ve been facing this issue for some time and have tried various solutions. I’ve been using my system for two years with minimal problems. Recently, I started experiencing BSOD and RAM-related issues. I own four RAM sticks totaling 48GB (two 16GB and two 8GB), and I began troubleshooting. Now I understand that when all four are installed, the BIOS only shows b1 and b2 as filled while others remain unavailable. Only when just a2 and b2 are installed does it display correctly.
I’ve attempted to boot the system using all slots with one stick, but neither the 8GB sticks respond, though the 16GB ones do. This is concerning because it’s similar to an RMA situation. However, running both the 2x16GB sticks still triggers frequent BSODs.
I’m uncertain if the problem lies in RAM, the operating system (I’ve reinstalled Windows twice with a clean boot but still see BSOD), or the motherboard. Mini dumps suggest NTKRNL.exe is involved, and all drivers have been checked.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I have 4 sticks of RAM totaling 48gb (2x16gb and 2x8gb). It's best to stick with matching rams rather than mixing them up; consider buying a matched set or kits. Do you have a link to one of those kits? When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide your full system specifications. Please list details such as: CPU, CPU cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, chassis, OS, monitor. Also include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard is also important at this stage.
