Chose to assemble a reliable older setup using components I owned, picked the LGA1155 socket and found a cheap board. Currently running an i5 2400 on an AsRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional Series, it boots fine after startup. The issue is it remains stuck at the 0x32 postcode, indicating CPU memory initialization hasn<|pad|>, which is fine with 2 GB RAM but slows down to half an hour with 4 GB and takes longer with 16 GB. Using 4GB Crucial 1600MT modules. Everything functions on a CX500 PSU with a VaporX R9 280x. Online searches only show defective parts, though my hardware works perfectly.
Update the bios to the latest version or attempt a rollback of the bios Crossflash to p8p67 deluxe (requires decompressing the cap file). The TP67xe/b+ or P67H2-A should work if other bios are faulty. Your board has socketed bios (located below the innermost dimming slot, probably covered by a sticker), so simply insert it into a ch341a (about $3) and you’ll be able to proceed with the crossflash.
