Problems with EXPO
Hardware: PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI AMD Ryzen 9 7900X NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 4 X 16GB Kingston Fury Beast 6000 (KF560C36-16). When I turn EXPO on and reboot, the PC freezes randomly or stops during memory check in BIOS startup. Any suggestions for improving this and fixing the memory setup? Henry
Confirm your system runs the newest BIOS version. Your device is experiencing flashback issues. When you turn on EXPO, your memory will work for a short period based on the board type. Observe the diagnostic LED and record the code. My Asrock only trains its memory for about 15 seconds during the first boot after a BIOS update, though some models last longer. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, consider removing two DIMMs so you’re using two 16GB sticks in the proper slots. If you’ve studied Zen4 before, you’ll understand that attempting to run four sticks could lead to failure.
Start by confirming all DIMMs share the same RAM IC. Obtain Thaiphoon Burner and capture a screenshot for each DIMM. If you encounter a mix of Hynix A dies and Hynix M dies, or a blend of Samsung B dies with Hynix A dies, expect stability problems at 6000 MHz. Assuming uniform dies, adjust memory controller voltages carefully. On Ryzen 7000 systems, focus on SOC voltage (below 1.4V) and VDDIO Mem (below ~1.45V). Experiment by increasing stock values to 1.2V and 1.35V, then tweak them to test stability.
It seems Thaiphoon Burner isn't reliable to download. Would you like some alternative programs you can try instead?
You're getting it from a specific site: http://www.softnology.biz/files.html. It's a program you've relied on frequently, but it sometimes triggers antivirus software due to its advanced features like memory rewriting. Make sure to download it from the official source for reliability.
It's being blocked by Chrome, but I understand it's the official site.
