whenever I run BF6 it keeps triggering a DX error. after getting my PC back from a technician for parts, there were known problems with SATA drives not responding when the drive was swapped from an MSI B550 MPG Gaming Plus to an Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming WiFi II before it was returned. I also had the CPU changed from a 5800x to a 5950x and replaced the AeroCool Integrator 850w Bronze with Gold. but now my system randomly shuts down due to kernel power loss while using the game. BF6 has always been unstable since launch on any of my machines. I've spent around £4k on repairs, upgrades, and parts replacements over about two years. I still face hardware problems. I can't find a nearby tech shop; we don’t have a microcenter. Here’s a video of my PC. When I play GTAO the GPU crashes severely. FFVIIBirth has the same DX error too. I don’t understand anything. yeah. tried windows 10 22h2, windows 11 21h2-25h2 fresh installs... it doesnt fix the blasted dx error. the kernal errors started when i was dickin around with BF6 to fix the DX errors. i dont know what i have broken on windows for bf6 to never be fixed. iam gonna consider doing a cmos reset soon. i have nothing overclocked. only tried to decrease the wattage for the rx7800xt to see if it improves the kernal power loss it crashed and reset the gpu to default. i have gone through 4 CPUs, 3 motherboards and 3 gpus since my first revision build. before a few years ago i upgraded from a AM3+ system to AM4. my first cpu was FX8350 and my first GPU was RX560 like 3 or 4 years ago i did upgrade the rx560 to rx590 for the am3+ build. i think i have spent more than 4k since 2020... i had better experience with FX8350 compared to AM4 games just worked motherboards wasnt so scammy like b450 and b550 has been for me. i upgraded from msi b450 gaming plus max for that extra nvme slot on msi mpg b550 gaming plus only to find out what a scam the upgrade was with pcie slot 2 disabled when using nvme slot 2 while all the pci slots are using outdated gen3 x1 therefore couldnt use my wireless card. so i went to asus rog strix b550-f gaming wifi 2 because using nvme slot 2 doesnt disable that pcie slot 2 its supposed to disable sata ports 6 and 5 instead and the interesting thing is even when the manual says that. my optical drive and 3 ssd drives are in ports 1-4 and still doesnt work for unknown reasons... i remember my tech guy mentioning a possible ram bug where he was testing ram and the drives were all working on the sata drives but the mb would not post. untill he done a bios update the drives stopped working completely and the ram became fully functioning with all channels. i did get a full refund for the MB without returning it. i had to buy food for me and my cat... im not sure what the issue is with the hardware. but even thouse i sould not use the wireless card on the msi b550 but everything else worked no issues but the damned dx error for ffvrebirth, bf6, and sometimes gtao and others. i could ask the guy to reinstall my msi mb but i wont have wifi... all i wish for is southampton uk to have better tech guys that dont overcharge... we dont have anything like microcenter... hell i dont have any enthusiastic computer buddies that know about pc's because everyone i know games on consoles... i just wish i had someone who knows there stuff as a friend was around to assist me with things. i still cant get skylines 2 to work on my pc either its like 14fps... the only thing im considering is psu maybe insufficient for 850w... but if its ram... oh boy... if its my asus mb im not to sure as i got nothing alternative to test it. im gonna do a fresh install of windows 11 21h2 and upgrade to 23h2 with Group Policy Editor's cap help. if i have not responded i probably forgot about this post or still getting things sorted out. but i cant guarentee it'll fix that blasted dx error.

Have you checked if the graphics card was properly seated and if the power cable was connected correctly?

I see this as hardware, probably involving the GPU. I agree with @WoodenMarker's suggestion to re-seat the card. It might help to check if your GPU is overheating, since that could lead to unusual throttling and timeouts like the DX Error you're encountering. An 850-watt rating seems sufficient for both issues, especially under load. I wouldn't dismiss power limitations either. RAM, CPU, or MOBO don’t seem likely based on what I understand. But you never know!
