I recently installed a Ryzen 9 7950X and connected it with an ROG Strix x670E-A motherboard using four 32GB Trident Z5 6400 CL32 DDR5 modules. The problem I’m facing is that my system won’t run faster than 3000MHz without freezing during startup for about five minutes, then entering BIOS Safe Mode and needing to adjust the RAM clocks afterward. Anyone else experiencing this or a comparable issue? Your feedback would be very helpful.

4 DDR5 modules remain underdeveloped in terms of support and execution. Consider using two to check if the results are consistent.

I also tested with only the two sticks, and it functioned adequately. Clock speeds were behaving oddly with unusually long boot times, though no other problems appeared. I thought it might be due to a weak setup for four RAM sticks, but I ended up getting a solid deal on the package and disliked the empty slots from a design perspective. I was hoping there might be a workaround or solution.

Issues arise when working with quad rank memory. Achieving decent performance from 4x32GB is challenging; most users manage only DDR5 4000. With careful tuning of termination resistances and other parameters, some have reached higher speeds, though the process is laborious. Long boot times in AM5 and extremely slow stress testing make it impractical to reach speeds like DDR5 5200+ with all sticks installed.
