Adjust the boot settings before powering on, as this could affect the BIOS output

You can start the OS from the live CD, or it will jump straight to the setup screen. If it boots successfully, the installation should proceed without issues. If not, verify that your BIOS supports booting from the USB drive.

I encounter this display on both Mint and Ubuntu versions when I attempt to use it. I've tested Ubuntu 16.4 and 17.1, but both result in errors during startup or installation. @Jiaweeeee I don't see any documentation about my boot settings in the BIOS.

Open the terminal using Ctrl-Alt-F2, then execute free dmesg | grep Memory to view kernel messages.

You lack terminal access, so it won’t guide you to a desktop. The error appears right after launching Mint, and the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+F2 doesn’t function on that screen.

Checked the flash drive settings—using NTFS instead of FAT32 caused a distinct error message that seemed almost alike.

I generated the USB drive by processing the data directly onto the storage medium. It seems the system attempted to pull the image straight from the source.
