Hello. This is just to inform you about the same issue. I resolved it myself. I played NieR for about 13 hours during the first week. Suddenly, opening the game caused it to crash and use maximum CPU. I searched online but didn’t find a complete solution. Here’s what I did:
- Uninstall Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (both x64 and x86)
- Run Command Prompt as administrator
- Execute "bcdedit -set DEBUG OFF"
- Power off the computer
- Restart and reinstall Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (both x64 and x86)
- Press Alt + Enter to enter fullscreen
This worked for me. I also tried updating or rolling back GPU drivers and cleaning the game installation, but it didn’t help. Hope this assists! For more info, check the link provided.

Good link, thanks. I haven’t used FAR before, so I’m confused about the issue. The page seems normal, no white screen or unresponsiveness. The fix appears to be similar.
