Problema com o driver do Quadro K600 não instalando no X79.
Hello everyone,
I'm working on a custom PC with older workstation components and have encountered a significant problem that hasn't been resolved after many attempts. I’d value any advice from those familiar with legacy NVIDIA cards or Chinese X79 boards.
Details:
- I’m unable to install any version of the NVIDIA Quadro K600 driver on a Windows 10 Pro x64 system.
- No scaling or full resolution is applied, and the NVIDIA Control Panel isn’t visible.
- Windows recognizes the card but treats it as a generic Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
- Drivers either install silently without success or trigger errors.
- Device Manager sometimes displays a yellow triangle.
Hardware:
- GPU: NVIDIA Quadro K600 (Kepler, PCIe 2.0, single-slot workstation card)
- Motherboard: SHAOZHAOYUAN X79 (Chinese LGA 2011 board from AliExpress)
- CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2660v2
- RAM: 32GB DDR3 ECC
- OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (fully updated)
Driver tests:
- 472.12 WHQL (Standard) – multiple older versions tried (441.66, 441.20, 431.86)
- Other versions of the Quadro driver have been tested
What I’ve tried:
- Clean Windows 10 installation
- Used DDU in Safe Mode
- Installed both Standard and DCH drivers
- Tested multiple driver versions, including the latest 472.12 WHQL (full support for Kepler)
- Windows Update stopped providing a functional NVIDIA driver (about two years ago)
- Manually forced driver install via Device Manager → Update Driver → Have Disk
- Switched to a different PCIe slot
- Confirmed the GPU works on another machine
- Reset BIOS and applied optimized defaults
- Verified power supply is sufficient
Additional notes:
- I’ve experienced similar driver detection problems with this X79 board and an AMD FirePro W4100 before.
- This card previously functioned well in other systems, such as Dell OptiPlex builds.
Questions:
- Could the issue stem from the Chinese X79 motherboard’s handling of UEFI/legacy drivers for workstation GPUs?
- Is there a verified offline installer for the 472.12 Standard driver (not DCH)?
- Are there any modding techniques or .sys swaps that might resolve this?
- Could flashing a different vBIOS on the K600 improve compatibility?
- Is there a method to bypass Windows Update and download the correct legacy driver again?
- Any guidance would be greatly appreciated—even if it’s just a confirmed driver link or confirmation that this board is the root cause. I’m open to testing any suggestions.
Thank you in advance!
Hello, your response is appreciated.
I applied every potential update for Windows 10, including all optional updates.
Verify using Intel's Driver utility:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...etect.html
The Intel Driver Tool indicates there are no compatible drivers or updates for your system.
The X79 chipset is quite outdated from a technological standpoint. You might want to explore these files:

Or this one:

Your issue with installing video drivers may be linked to the chipset drivers. Check your motherboard BIOS for an option to manually configure the PCIe version or generation. If applicable, set it to version 2, which matches your GPU's version.

Are you using the correct driver version?
