Hello, my father is facing some problems with his PC, especially with internet connectivity. When he uses the PC, the connection drops and he can't get back online. The FritzBox shows a connection, but he can't access it from his computer or the internet. All his attempts to fix it—running ipconfig /release, restarting the PC and router, clearing DNS cache, rolling back drivers, checking settings, disabling firewalls—have failed. He mentioned occasional issues before and always managed to resolve them with the first step. He’s unsure if a Windows update caused the problem or if there’s an issue between Windows and the router.

Verify if the PC receives an IP address from the router. The ipconfig output should display an assigned IP address and its status.

he receives a simple IP address starting with 192..., not knowing the precise number, but it should be valid. the router displays a range from 20 to 200 for IPv4.

Based on what I understand, everything seems normal, though he suddenly lost internet access and was able to share a picture today but won’t upload tomorrow.

It appears the issue has resolved itself, though I’m still unsure what caused it.
