The issue arises because security policies prevent unauthenticated access to the shared folder. Attempts to connect via network drives or basic file sharing result in blocked access. The challenge is accessing the resource from a Windows 7 machine on a secure domain while avoiding domain or workgroup restrictions. There appears to be no viable alternative method currently available.

Question: is there another method (back-door) to reach a shared file (linked from a windows 7 machine to a windows 10 machine) without being part of the domain or workgroup?
Forum rules forbid help with such hacks, work arounds, or ways to bypass security.
The issue should be handled by the organization's IT team.
