Problem with Windows audio settings
Problem with Windows audio settings
I just installed a new computer and am trying to ensure everything is up-to-date and drivers are properly set. When I check my device manager, there are two entries labeled "nahimic mirroring device." One appears normal, while the other shows a yellow triangle next to it. From what I've found online, this seems to be an audio driver that facilitates communication between the computer and sound hardware. My audio functions well most of the time, but I notice occasional sudden stutters in the sound. I’m wondering if this driver might be the cause. Additionally, my 1/4 inch audio jack on the motherboard sometimes triggers a false detection of something being plugged in, even when nothing is connected. I’m uncertain if this is related to the nahimic driver or something else. Should I install it and use it? There are also Realtek audio drivers listed, along with various other audio devices that aren’t nahimic or Realtek. I’m unsure what to do and don’t want conflicting drivers interfering with the same hardware. This has been the most frustrating experience, despite building what appears to be a powerful system with top-tier components. I’ve never faced so many issues while assembling a PC.
