You can apply the OEM disc for W7 on your machine while using another OEM activation code, as long as your motherboard remains unchanged.

You have the option, but you must contact Microsoft.

P.O.P. Automated call was the last time I tried. A robot apparently didn't want to talk to a person. I saved an.iso file from the provided link and applied the activation code on the COA side of the tower.

Typically OEM keys are linked to the MOBO, and to replace a new key you must contact the Microsoft CC for permission.

You're asking about compatibility of your activation code. The code is linked to the specific Mobo you're using, and it won't change unless you switch devices. You're also curious if using an OEM disc from another build will work on a different OEM system.

Will you incorporate the latest SSD into the ongoing release?

What yea. I am only changing my RAID 0 array to a single SSD. My HDD's are really loud so I want to go for something less annoying. The SSD will go into my current build but the OEM disc comes from a different build I did in the past. I just want to know if the disc is somehow tied to the other build. I will use the same activation key I used for my current build. That key is also OEM.

After a short period things will show a warning that this version of Windows can’t be activated automatically and will show a very large number. You’ll need to enter that number when you call the provided phone number. The call will then provide a code for you to input into your system, which will activate your copy of Windows. As long as your key hasn’t been used many times recently, this process usually works without issue. If a human is involved, confirm you’re reinstalling because the old hard drive failed—not because you switched systems. OEM versions handle repairs well, but upgrades don’t. Clearly, the person on the other end can’t determine your old drive’s status. There’s a 99.99999% chance it’s the automated system.

It doesn't matter which OEM disk you choose for installing the OS, as long as you use the same key, you won't encounter any issues. Hope this clarifies your question.
