I had a problem with my PC on Windows 10. It would slowly freeze for about five to ten seconds every time I played games, even just when opening the menu. This got so bad that I had to restart by hitting the reset button. Counter Strike 2 made this happen most of the time. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I changed my Windows from Win10 to Win11. Now, instead of freezing, my PC just restarts on its own. The error messages were: CRITICAL PROCESS DIED, KERNEL DATA INPAGE ERROR, SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION. Overheating is definitely not the problem and I fixed that by moving the parts around using different steps in my Command Line interface. Some games don't cause this at all and things like Windows and apps like 3D Mark are fine. I didn't change anything like drivers or new parts to make this happen either. The Event Viewer also doesn't show any help. My computer specs were: an Intel Core i7 9700F, a graphics card called the NVIDIA RTX 3080 FE Z-270A with 16 gigabytes of RAM running at 3000 MHz from Ballistix Corsair's RM750i, a Samsung 970 Evo solid state drive, and an Intel CPU.

Stop using auto-restart when things go wrong. Now you can see more details from the error message. How hot is your processor or graphics card while you run heavy tasks?

You're welcome! That fixed it. The error message says "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED". The graphics card is getting hot (around 85 degrees) and the processor is also a bit warm (in the 60s). Crashes keep happening even when things are still cool in the menu area.

That blue screen error is usually caused by too much memory (RAM). Take out one of your memory sticks, use only the remaining ones in your PC for a couple of days until you get an error again. Then swap the RAM sticks and test with just the other one for another day or two.

I've already tried it. Just keep trying until you get a win, because slots can always break again no matter what you do.

I've had a bunch of errors lately about my computer crashing and having problems with data inside it, like the system service breaking or parts of the OS not loading right.
