I secured it, no issues detected. Performed a Windows update – it downloaded and set up but when I started and typed the version in Winver, it still showed the previous one. Attempted to move to Windows 11; encountered some faults during SAFE_OS and errors while booting. The log in setuperr.log reads: 2022-12-02 23:33:00, Error [0x0808fe] MIG Plugin ... failure to open regkey. I tried upgrading and hit a network provider order issue with a specific registry error on 2022-12-02 23:33:00. The system reported: 2022-12-02 23:33:01, Error [0x0808fe] MIG Plugin ... failed to apply successfully due to network provider order failure.

I understand your concern. Let me clarify what might be happening. The issue could relate to compatibility, file corruption, or incorrect installation steps. Have you verified the ISO file integrity and ensured it's not damaged? Also, double-check that you're using the latest version of the Windows 10 media creation tool.

You can use either GPT or MBR in Rufus depending on your needs.

I inserted the USB drive and started booting. The Windows 10 icon appeared, which took a moment. My gaming keyboard lights turned off. The screen went dark and the process restarted.

Using a USB stick from Microsoft’s free tool. Check if you have the newest BIOS installed. I’ve noticed some issues when BIOS is outdated, and certain drivers don’t work properly—like the IOBit booster.

I refreshed the drivers via SDIO. They appear current. I’ll attempt the official media creation again. I believe a newer BIOS is installed, as indicated by the Lenovo Vantage app. It hasn’t been used before but shows it’s up to date. I performed a full PC reset through settings, deleting all files and applications. The Windows version remained unchanged post-reset. The setup reported an outdated status, prompting the Windows Update to fix it. I’m hopeful it will succeed. If not, I’ll try using the media creation tool to generate a USB drive.

I made the USB with the media creation tool from Microsoft's site. After turning on the PC, these events occurred: 1. Lenovo logo appeared in 3 seconds 2. Screen turned blank after 4 seconds 3. Windows 10 logo showed up in 5 seconds 4. Screen went blank and both keyboard and mouse lights faded in 1 second 5. These steps 1 through 4 repeat continuously.
