I've faced problems with Windows 10 after upgrading to Kaby Lake in May. Despite regular checks, my system has experienced BSODs and crashes. Malwarebytes and Windows Defender both report no threats. All drivers are current, and I’ve reset the OS multiple times without success. The most recent update caused a looping BSOD, and even after reinstalling via USB, it still works fine. Recently, Ghost Recon froze during gameplay, triggering a BSOD on restart, though other games run smoothly. There were terrain loading issues in Ghost Recon, but PUBG has also had its share of crashes. I’m unsure if the problem lies with hardware or software—possibly the GPU, though stress tests and gaming sessions have been stable. My ASUS contacted about a possible motherboard issue, but they denied it and suggested Windows as the cause. Please advise.

The ghost recon time isn’t clear to me. I plan to take a photo next time. I looked through them last night but am now at work, so I’ll review my history. The loop contained many different codes, which is why I reinstalled. I was using CCleaner before, but I read that the registry cleaner isn’t recommended, so I don’t use it anymore after a fresh install.

Always remember the stop code, or we won’t be able to assist you. Jot it down during your next BSOD.

When the system indicates MEMORY MANAGEMENT, consider swapping in new RAM. If it mentions SYSTEM_THREAD_NOT_HANDLED or similar, updating your drivers might be necessary.

I believe I encountered KERNAL in one of those examples, though I’m not certain. I did see THREAD, but the context around it wasn’t clear.

Could there be a hardware problem? Have you replaced your CPU?

I previously used the XMP Profile but experienced problems each time, so I turned it off.
