Hello! Your first PC setup is exciting, but the Wi-Fi connection seems tricky. Here are some relevant details: you're using a Ryzen 5 3600x with an Asus Tuf GTX 1660 Super MSI B550m Pro and Windows 11 installed via USB on mac using USB-Zile. After setting up BIOS with a video guide, you tried connecting during installation but the Wi-Fi didn't appear. Later, you bypassed the connection step expecting smoother setup, but once Windows was running, internet access failed. You spent time searching online but found no solution. Your main thoughts are either needing MSI Wi-Fi drivers or updating BIOS. It sounds confusing since the motherboard claims built-in Wi-Fi. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Updating WIFI drivers should typically fix the problem. It's quite normal and often necessary to install them so the WIFI functions properly. I've needed this for all the WIFI boards I've used so far.

According to @Hinjima, you must install the WiFi drivers. Connect an Ethernet cable or USB Wi-Fi adapter, then download the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer’s website. This process is quite typical.

No, drivers don't require a USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I used an adapter, moved the drivers to another Mac, and then transferred them to a USB stick. I connected the stick to the PC and opened two versions of File Explorer, moving each file from the stick to the local drive in This PC. To activate the drivers, you’ll need to follow the setup instructions that came with the software.

Windows already includes drivers for the USB adapter by default. If not, you must manually install the drivers for the USB WiFi adapter before it functions. However, if your motherboard features built-in WiFi hardware, you can simply obtain the corresponding drivers.

Get the driver file from the maker’s website and then execute the installer on your new machine. This is the most straightforward method.
