I have a BOYA PM500 USB microphone for my PC. So I've had this mic since September last year. It has this weird issue of not working once I boot into Linux. The Mic is detected but it won't pickup any sound. I have to unplug and plug back in the cable in order for it to work. I thought at first that it might be a driver issue with Pop_OS, but when I moved to Arch around December, the same thing happens. I'm now on Fedora 35. I'm beginning to think that this mic probably has a "quirk" with Linux. I wonder if anyone has had issues like this with other similar mics? I've also tried different USB ports on my PC so there should be nothing wrong with the ports. Changed different cables as well thinking it might just be a bad cable but no juice. Not really looking for a permanent fix since all I need to do is unplug/plug the USB cable and it starts to work. But I do wonder what might be causing this.
