You're dealing with a puzzling connectivity challenge that's been taking you a long time to resolve. You have a solid 100Mbps connection, but your three PCs only manage around 2Mbps upload speeds. The problem isn't with the router or your ISP, since speeds are much higher when using Linux or Android devices. Your tests show significantly better performance on mobile networks, especially with Wi-Fi at 5GHz. It seems the issue lies within your PCs themselves or their network stack. You've already explored many solutions—adjusting network settings, tweaking drivers, changing cables, and even modifying registry entries—but nothing seems to work. It's frustrating because the speed differences are consistent across different scenarios and devices.

Did you review the task manager to confirm your network activity on those computers?

I'm interested in knowing if the same outcomes appear across different browsers and systems. It seems the test on speedof.me might use a more streamlined HTML5 format compared to Speedtest.net. I wonder if any hidden software could be influencing network behavior. A notable issue I've noticed on some Dell machines is the "SmartByte Driver and Services" (website linked to a company with questionable reputation). Users report it significantly reduces upload speeds. Removing it often leads to noticeable improvements. What antivirus software are you using on these affected devices? Have you attempted to disable it rather than just disabling the protection? Are your network interface drivers current for Ethernet ports? Have you tried uninstalling or reinstalling them, or adjusting advanced settings like jumbo packets and frame buffers?

Have you attempted starting Windows in safe mode with networking, and then checked if the issue persists?

Consider testing with another router to see if speeds improve. If you can't find another one, you might temporarily switch a PC into router mode and use a spare NIC with Pfsense installed. Also, check if your computers can transfer data quickly—are you reaching gigabit speeds or just similar performance?

Update the Wi-Fi drivers. Verify if the Windows update is causing issues. Disable the upload feature in Windows Update that you didn’t notice before. Which connection is being used?

Everything seems fine. I also used Wireshark to track the network, but I haven’t noticed anything unusual. Yes, I should have noted that even after installing a fresh Windows 10, the behavior remains the same. So I suspect there’s no issue with other programs; I attempted to reinstall the OS several times, but only Linux performed better in upload speeds. I checked various speed test sites, and the one on Speedtest.net gave the most reliable results, matching what I actually experience when uploading data. I’m using the free versions of Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. I don’t run any networking-related software except PIA VPN. My ISP isn’t throttling me, and I’ve tested both with and without the VPN, though speeds drop significantly with it. The network cards are up to date, and I’ve tried multiple versions. I also reinstalled/reinstalled the system and changed settings. Jumbo packets reached their limit. Not sure what frame buffers you’re referring to—they seem saturated. Yes, still the same issue. That’s a good point; I haven’t explored that yet. Since I don’t have another router, I’ll need to try it on a different PC as suggested. Yeah, I’ve disabled all unnecessary settings and kept everything current. EDIT: I also experimented with QoS and turned off IPV6.

Are you using a PIA VPN? That's why the speed changes. Turn it off and test again.

I checked without using VPN. It seems I had the problem even before installing PIA.
