Hi, when I begin a game like Valorant, the PC makes a strange loud noise that disappears once I leave the game and switch to the desktop. I’m wondering what causes it. I have a 7800x3d, an MSI X670e carbon MMO, an MSI A1000G power supply, and a video card from my old PC that hasn’t made any noises before. I’ve left out the heatsink and SSDs. Could it be the motherboard’s coil whine or the power supply? This only happens during games.

It seems like the coil whine comes from either the GPU or likely the power supply. You should try to pinpoint the source and replace the faulty component. There isn't a permanent fix for coil whine.
