Problem with the Windows desktop manager interface.
Problem with the Windows desktop manager interface.
I have a Windows 10 computer and usually everything runs smoothly, but my wife recently shared a problem. When she switches to her personal user account, the Taskbar and system don’t open properly. I checked Taskbar, settings, and even the old control panel—everything except the system or Taskbar. I looked into it more and found the issue. Since I have five monitors and use two GPUs, I noticed in the Windows processes there were two instances of the Windows Desktop Manager—one running on my GPU 0 and the other not. I ended the task on the one that wasn’t running, which resolved the problem. I’m still puzzled as to why this became an issue and wondering if there’s a way to prevent it from happening again.
