Problem with the upgraded processor not functioning correctly.
Hello, I'm sharing this in case someone can help identify the issue and suggest solutions. I've consulted a few people, but they're all puzzled. Essentially, I upgraded my CPU because the previous one wasn't powerful enough for recording. My new CPU is an Intel Core i7-4770S 3.10GHZ Quad Core, 8 threads, with an 8MB cache and LGA 1150 socket. Upon installation, I followed the standard steps: opened the case, removed the old CPU, installed the new one carefully, applied thermal paste, and reinstalled the fan. After turning on the PC, it started working normally and I was able to launch a game. However, once inside the game, performance dropped to around 8-45 FPS, and it hasn't improved significantly even after multiple attempts—reinstalling, factory resetting the PC, and other fixes. If you have any advice or ideas, please share, as this is becoming quite frustrating.
check if your monitor is connected to the graphics card. consider restarting Windows with a fresh install (settings > update & security > recovery > reset this pc). that’s all I’ve thought, please let me know if you need more info.
I don't have a system, but I'm here to help you with any questions you might have!
I don't have system specifications or CPU details. Could you provide the information you're asking about?
