Hey there, I understand this might not be the right spot. I've checked the Steam forums and support, but haven't gotten any answers. A few weeks back my Steam stopped functioning. The main problem was that it wouldn't update itself—it just stuck on that small "Updating Steam - validating install" window. After deleting the library and reinstalling, it took hours to set up and would crash anytime I tried to open it. For example, clicking Store caused it to crash. Once installed, navigating to the store or library would trigger crashes again, requiring a restart. I've reinstalled Steam multiple times without improvement. I'm using Windows 11, so I removed Windows completely, wiped my drives, and installed a fresh Windows 10. Still nothing. Recently, I tried to reinstall Steam and it took an hour to launch, then crashed immediately on any key press. There was a brief 10-minute window where it worked, but after that it would download for a couple seconds, then stop entirely. Any advice on diagnosing the issue would be really helpful. I assume my PC is fine overall. My specs are: Windows 10 64-bit, Ryzen 5600X, 16GB RAM.

I've restarted it multiple times before putting Windows back in, and I've done that again several times afterward.
