Problem with the SSD not functioning.
You’ve installed a new SSD and everything seems to appear in your system tools, yet it’s missing from your file manager or storage app. Try checking the device properties in Device Manager or Disk Management, ensure the drive is properly recognized, and verify the partition layout. If the issue persists, reinstalling the drive or contacting support may help.
I own the ROG Strix B760 Gaming Wi-Fi, while the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB is mounted in the slot at the back of the motherboard. My previous SSD is connected to SataG_2.
You might refresh your bios, windows, and drivers; you could restart, reset your bios, and this should resolve the issue. In the worst scenario, disconnect the sata ssd and attempt to install windows on the m.2 ssd—this should be done regardless. Edited February 8, 2024 by leclod
