Hello! I recently installed my new PC and faced some issues because it wouldn’t post. Eventually, I realized something was off—there were two RAM sticks, even though they were placed in the slots as instructed on my motherboard. I attempted to swap them and move them around, but nothing changed. Eventually, I had to remove one stick, which resolved the problem.

Now comes the more puzzling part. The only RAM that worked was in slot B1. My other stick didn’t work in any slot. I’m not sure what’s going on or how to fix it. Please note that the RAM I have is a 2x8 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz CL16. Also, my CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800X. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated—either for getting the sticks to work or adjusting their speeds.

Have you attempted to reinstall the CPU? Poor connection between the CPU and motherboard could cause these issues.

The exact part number and version for the RAM used in Corsair Vengeance with Ryzen are not publicly specified. You may need to check the manufacturer’s documentation or contact their support for precise details.

I haven't tried, but I don’t have the time or access to remove the CPU cooler.

4.31 is a Samsung B-die. It should work. The RAM needs to be placed in slots 2 and 4 next to the CPU, specifically A2 and B2.

I checked all the slots until I was left with just the third one. That’s the only one that got my PC up and running. Could mean I might need to replace the RAM, or it could be defective from the start—I really don’t know.
