Hello, I recently assembled a gaming PC and everything seems to be functioning properly. All drivers are installed and the BIOS is up to date. Since I don’t have a Wi-Fi card, I’ve been using an Ethernet connection throughout. It’s been working until now. I connected a LAN cable and it shows no devices attached, yet the internet appears to be active. The unusual aspect is that my wall-mounted router remains in place despite being switched off yesterday. The Wi-Fi was stable then but has stopped now. When I connect a LAN cable to the router and power it via my PC, it turns the router off. I’m unsure what’s happening and have tried various solutions. Can someone assist?

PC specifications: I7-9700K MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus Motherboard RTX 2060 Super 8GB Founders Edition 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Corsair H100i AIO 2 TB Seagate Barracuda 500 GB Samsung 860 EVO

Start with simple solutions—switch to a different cable. If that doesn’t work, repeat the same steps: use the same port, connect the same cable to another device, if possible.

Verify the LAN port status within the router's interface.
