It seems the problem isn’t with the headphones themselves. Windows shows them as connected in Device Manager, but you’re seeing static and no audio through the front panel jack. The same happens when using another device, yet the jack works fine on the motherboard. I’ve checked the connections there too—nothing appears amiss. Could be an issue with the cable, the jack placement, or a driver problem?

Does the front panel connector for the sound fit correctly? It’s typically located at the lower left corner of your mainboard, often labeled with a brand such as AC97.

Which model of case you're using? I understand you have a Chinese case and are worried about the front panel, so you're choosing not to connect it to the motherboard.

I verified that and reattached it. It is positioned correctly, yet the issue continues.

Well, if you have an old case with a front panel connector, I’d try it out. It’s possible the connectors are dead on arrival. I’d take apart the whole unit and see if anything has come loose. Usually, the front panel connector at the top can also fall off. Since your rear jacks are working, the issue likely lies with the internal sound connector pins, the cable to the front panel, or even the front panel itself.
