You've got a tough situation with your Rift setup. The OculusSetup.exe isn't launching at all, just crashing immediately without any visible errors or logs. You've checked everything—logs look clean, tried various fixes, even moved files and changed folder permissions. Still no luck. The support team hasn't responded, and forums aren't helping. It's been a week now, and I'm really stuck.

Consider the Rift and a Vive? Verify the device manager for any Rift hardware entries. Reach out to their support once more, and review your spam for Oculus communications. If no reply comes within two days, discard the headset.

I’m used to handling tough situations at work, so I don’t have much time or patience when I get home. I got the Oculus because it looks nicer and feels better for me. While the Vive might be more functional, that wasn’t my main reason for choosing it. The return option was already talked about. Checking the Task Manager shows the app ran briefly before crashing, and system usage looks normal for an install app—no unusual spikes before the crash. I haven’t heard back from support yet, even in my junk folder. I’ll try another support ticket.
