I recently upgraded my system with a new motherboard (B450 Tomahawk Max), a fresh CPU (Ryzen 5 2600), and additional RAM (G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB, two 8GB modules). The previous GPU remained unchanged—it was an RX 580. Upon powering it on, the display showed only a white underscore near the upper left corner, without any visuals. The EZ Debug indicator ceased functioning for VGA, indicating a GPU issue. I attempted to use another GPU, which also displayed the same problem, prompting me to return the motherboard and receive a replacement. Upon reassembly, the setup worked flawlessly. The white underscore persisted on the screen, and the debug light remained inactive for VGA. I also experimented with alternative RAM configurations, but the issue continued.

I figured it out. I had to update the bios with a flash drive and then for some reason I had to unplug the USB 3.0 cord so it would boot fully, but then my mouse wouldn't work, so my brother helped and used a keyboard to download stuff and delete files using cmd—it was complicated haha. Sorry if others had this issue. I'm not 100% sure what we needed to do, but the key was having a flash bios to make it boot and stop stopping on the VGA debug light.

When you receive a cursor, is it showing up? Have you tried installing Windows?
