The system performed well initially. I updated to Windows 11 after a short period, but it began to malfunction—glitches appeared, errors occurred, and it entered a boot loop. Eventually, blue screens appeared for various issues like page faults and kernel problems. I used my older PC to download Windows 10 via USB and replaced it, which resolved the problem. However, my Ethernet and HDMI cables stopped working even though they worked before. The display cable still functions with another monitor, but the Ethernet connection remains inactive despite being plugged in. It displays driver update prompts and error messages such as “Windows could not detect a properly installed network adapter,” yet I can’t install drivers to get internet access. How can I resolve this?

I experienced a similar problem before. Setting up a fresh installation drive and reinstalling Windows 10 resolved the connectivity issues, including the bluescreen problems. You can find the relevant details and code snippets here.

You might need to restart your network settings (in Windows "Ethernet" troubleshooting). After reinstalling Windows on a new machine I built for my son using a 12600KF, I switched to a Wi-Fi card and got internet again. Once I reset all network connections, the Ethernet worked properly once more. The HDMI ports seem to be behaving oddly—still not sure what’s causing that.
