Hi there, I'm trying to figure out a problem with my new setup. It has the specs you mentioned: i9 13900k, 32GB RAM at 5200MHz, Corsair Vengeance 2x16, MSI Rtx 4090, Suprim MPG Z790 Carbon, Wi-Fi 1600, EVGA Gold 80+, and a 1TB WD NVMe SSD. The issue starts when I power on the computer—my screen goes all black and I have to reset it manually for it to boot. After that, everything works perfectly. Anyone know what might be causing this? I'm really confused. Thanks!

Do you have a CPU cooler? Make sure all power connectors on both sides are securely connected.

How do you achieve 12VHPWR? Are you connecting the included 4x8 pin adapter? I've noticed this setup often with different configurations, like two built-in power supplies and two modified ones.

Just verify your adapter, make sure the GPU isn't damaged by any marks. Not sure if this issue exists in production models.

CPU cooler is Corsair XC5, water pump is Bykski model I retrieved from a previous build. Yes, I'm connecting the adapter that comes with MSI GPUs.

Its mostly from people not seating the connector properly. There's even enough friction for it to be 'safe' without the retention clips, something Seasonic is resolving by sending me a new 12vhpwr-12vhpwr cable. Both ends of the singular one they include just fell off, though there's enough friction for it to be safe enough for me to feel good about it. I'm just not removing any panels while its operating to be safe.

Three of the eight pins connect straight to the PSU lines. Are you employing two daisy-chained cables or four separate ones?

I possess four VGA cables connecting the power supply to the graphics card.

I attempted to recreate the problem without the 4090 chip. Check for unusual ATX 3.0/PCIe5.0 compatibility problems that might be leading to strange POST behavior. I also noticed some bizarre occurrences between my setups after installing the RTX 4090.
