I began my morning as usual—woke up, powered on the PC, and handled some personal care. It was roughly 7 AM today (12 hours prior). Around 11 AM, my AIO arrived, so I shut down the machine, unplugged it, and swapped the small stock cooler for this unit... That was a mess. The setup didn’t include a Molex connector for the fan controller, even though that’s required to power it. Fortunately, I located one in an old build (at least partially). After two hours without success, I couldn’t get the system to boot. I experimented with cables and connections, assuming the problem was there, but nothing worked. After an hour of trial and error, I removed the AIO and extracted the CPU. The thermal paste on the outer pins looked fine—two alcohol wipes made it shine without bending any pins. Still no boot. I then used another motherboard, installed the 8350 and a graphics card, and plugged everything in quickly. Immediately after, I noted that before moving to my old board, I’d found the Molex cable, which only caused minor fan noise (the fans spun briefly before stopping, and the CPU LED lit). I soaked the board in 91% isopropyl alcohol for about an hour. After using roughly half a ounce, it worked. My fingers are crossed. If this fixes it, I’ll move on. Otherwise, I might buy another bottle of isopropyl alcohol and let it sit for a few minutes. To wrap up: today was a disaster. I’m not sure what the outcome will be, but I need to capture a video—my backup storage is inaccessible.

To dry it safely, removing it is a good idea. A fan might help, but you also face the risk of spreading liquid to other areas and possibly getting it trapped in tight spaces, like a socket. Also, even though alcohol was used, double-check that no residue remains which could affect the board again, especially if that was the original issue.

The Molex end power cable adapter is included with the AIO since it supplied power to the controller. If absent, you should have reached out to Thermaltake support for a replacement. It isn't considered an optional component on the AIO's parts list. The installation timing seems delayed—follow the step-by-step guide carefully. "Plug the connector into the port sequentially, beginning with plug one." When using 91% alcohol, allow it to air dry completely, typically for a specified duration or until fully dry. Canned compress air can be applied over a hair dryer, particularly around socket pinholes.
