It should likely function again, but reinserting it is recommended. It acts as an inductor and removing it would cause a phase imbalance in the VRM. As long as it isn’t the only one handling something like VCCSA, the system may run hotter and experience slightly less stable voltage regulation. Since you don’t know the exact motherboard model—some can tolerate losing 3 or 4 phases while others need the whole unit to work properly—I suggest turning off any overclocking or multicore boosts until repairs are possible. Fixing it is straightforward if you’ve soldered before; otherwise, a local repair shop should be able to handle it affordably.

It was a Z390 gigabyte Elite, sorry for the mix-up! Honestly, I’ve never done any soldering before, but I’ll check for a repair shop. Thanks a lot for the advice—have a great time tonight!
