Hi everyone, I'm having trouble finding a specific capacitor for my Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3. I've received a picture from Gigabyte, but it's hard to locate the right one. I'm based in the UK and could use any suggestions. Thanks!

If your capacitor is missing, it's considered a damaged output area and you should request a replacement or return.

It seems to be a 560uF electrolytic capacitor rated for 63V. You can find these at various online stores such as eBay, Digikey, Farnell Element14, Mouser, and Adafruit.

This device is quite old, I'm sure it's no longer covered by any warranty.

Of course, I misunderstood. Earlier about capacitors, you might want to try installing a new one and see what happens.

Thanks for the answers. I wasn't sure about the spacing between 6 and 3 - 6.3v. I brought a second-hand board.

I was actually referring to 6.3V, but I made a mistake in typing it.

No problem, thanks. Should I handle this? Here’s the link: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/3150237/

The image you mentioned is actually a 560 uF 6.3v capacitor. The description mentions a 270 uF 16v solid polymer type, which doesn't match the size or voltage you described. It seems there might be a mix-up in the component details. You should look for 16v solid polymer capacitors rated around 270 uF, which are commonly used in motherboards. For higher capacitance options, 330 uF or 470 uF variants are available, though finding them with the same physical layout can be challenging. Links to compatible parts are provided for further reference.
