The PC isn't turning on at all—no lights, fans, or post codes appear. All cables were re-seated, then removed and replaced with new RAM, but nothing worked. I tried shorting power instead of using the case button, but it didn’t help. I’m unsure if the issue is with the CPU, sound card, or power supply unit. The PSU (MSI R850GL) makes a very quiet beep every three seconds, which suggests the PSU might be the problem.

It seems there might be an issue here. There should likely be a small indicator like a postcode, error light, or BSOD to show that something went wrong. If it's just nothing, the power supply unit could be the problem.

No need to attempt repairs on the PSU; it’s better to replace it instead.

Never touch a power supply unit. Even when disconnected, it remains dangerous due to stored energy in capacitors.
