Hello, I just got my first PC and am getting into understanding its components. I chose the MSI MAG Core Liquid 360 and wanted to swap out my fans for the IceCube Link QX120 RGB models. After setting everything up, I thought they would detect the fans but during a stress test they didn’t spin faster and it seemed like they weren’t cooling the CPU effectively. Any advice would be really helpful!

It was definitely a bit of a joke move. Just go with a standard AIO unit. Make sure it connects to the CPU fan header—through the control panel for the ICUE link or if you're using a 3-fan splitter. If you don’t adjust the fan curve, most of the automatic settings will run at about 75% speed. You can fine-tune them using a program like Fan Control and test which fans stop when you start it.

The testing duration was at least 15 minutes to properly assess the performance.

I left it running for roughly five minutes but the fans didn’t spin any faster and the CPU hit temperatures around 90 degrees.

The connection cable is available on the Icue page, allowing me to plug it into the cup header. I purchased all the components together and later realized that switching the fans might not be as straightforward as I initially thought.
