You're experiencing issues with your Oculus Rift setup. Here are some tips: check the display port connections carefully, ensure cables are secure, and verify compatibility with your current hardware. If you're thinking about modifying the port, research local regulations and potential risks before proceeding. Let me know if you need further guidance!

Is the cable removable? I own one myself... it has a rift that still works. I keep it in its original box when not in use. I understand the quests and quest 2, etc., but from what I know, rifts can't run without the cable because the PC GPU is needed. Converting to HDMI might help, though it uses less bandwidth... but it depends on how much you need at the end. The Rift usually comes with a display port for a mini HDMI adapter, which I haven’t seen in mine either. I should definitely check if replacement cables are available.

I'm reaching out to Meta support right now. I understand a new cable might be available, but I'm hesitant to replace it. I'm exploring conversion options or HDMI, but since the cable is fiber optic, those methods won't work. I just want to avoid buying something new.

I also got it secondhand, so I don’t have the mini DP adapter.
