Problem with the B450 Steel Legend's whine or buzzing sound coming from the VRM section. Assistance needed.
Initially I detected a faint whining sound when the computer was powered down. After some checks, it turned out to be an issue with the motherboard. When the system ran under load, the noise became more noticeable and clear. I performed all possible troubleshooting—adjusted CPU voltage slightly below stock, set frequency to 3200Hz at 1.35V, updated BIOS. The AIDA utility worked fine and has been stable for several weeks since installation. Everything seems normal except the motherboard itself. The PSU also makes some noise when off, possibly due to its 5V standby feature, but I’m not sure if that’s related to the problem. My main concern is whether it’s a harmless coil whine or something more serious. I can hear it, but it’s mostly audible when I listen closely through the case.
