So I was using windows 10 previously and now i have changed my CPU and motherboard and reinstalled Win 10. I thought using my win 7 key would get it working again but i get the error code 0x004f050. I mean the only disadvantages are that i have an annoying watermark that says activate and I cant personalize my wallpaper and stuff but i want to know the problem. -I reinstalled by doing a clean install through usb -Will just waiting fix it, you know when you wait for Microsoft to authenticate it -I'm not paying £189 for the win 10 pro full license

You cannot use a Windows 7 key with Windows 10. You need to install Windows 7 using that key first, after which you can download the Windows 10 ISO on your Windows 7 system.
