I'm experiencing problems with my old gigabyte ga-z77x-d3h after making hardware changes. The BIOS often gets corrupted, and even small adjustments like adding RAM or swapping a Wi-Fi card cause issues. I have to restore from the second BIOS and then face performance problems if I don't make any changes. It's frustrating because I want everything to work smoothly without any interruptions.

It might be that the old CMOS battery is almost depleted, replace it with a CR2032 type
