Evening, I'm facing a boot/no-start problem. I've gone through the pinned instructions but haven't found any fixes for the RAM or post setup. Nothing seems to work. Before diving deeper, here are the details of my system:

- CPU: I5-7400T (Referb)
- Seller Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144676587965
- RAM: 2x RIPJAWS V DDR4-3200 (from an older rig)
- PSU: Thermaltake SMART 500W (new)
- Case: CoolerMaster HAF XB EVO

I've tested everything in this thread—every component functions correctly except the motherboard. Initially, a no-boot/no-start issue was resolved by replacing the CMOS. I also noticed the Asus B-150M-C has only 4 PIN connectors for its power connector, which might be a clue. However, pulling the CPU and RAM didn't help; the PC wouldn't power on to check for booting. My thought is that the problem could lie with the MOBO itself. I plan to continue troubleshooting on Saturday, as a friend has a MOBO that supports the i5-7400. I'll review this post in the morning and discuss any further steps here, updating with timestamps. Thanks! -GG Edited May 16, 2024 by ([GG])

The BIOS for that motherboard didn't cover the 7th generation; it only supported version 3016. It seems the exact board you received might be an older model that never received such updates. Would you consider a 6th generation processor? Check the support page here: https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/b150...me=B150M-C

Hello, thank you for your patience. I've tested a 6th-generation processor (i3-6100) and the issues continue. It seems like the problem might be elsewhere. I've also checked different HDMI cables and connected the GPU directly, but nothing has resolved it. (Note: The i3 passed testing before shipping, and the i5 also worked.)

It seems you might be referring to a faulty motherboard.

Sure, I appreciate your help. It's a real letdown, but I'll get through it as a struggling college student, hehe.
