Hi Linus, I hope you're doing well. I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 with 8GB integrated and 8GB in the second slot (DDR5 4800 MHz). I tried upgrading my laptop from 16GB to 32GB using CRUCIAL DDR5 4800 MHz modules, but after removing the old 8GB RAM and installing the new 32GB RAM, it won't boot or respond. The keyboard keeps cycling, and the machine remains inactive. When I replaced the original OEM memory (Samsung brand), everything worked fine. My support team mentioned they don’t support third-party RAM. They suggested buying a 32GB stick from CRUCIAL for $300, which seems expensive. I bought the RAM directly from CRUCIAL and confirmed compatibility with my laptop. I also checked another DDR5 RAM, but the same problem persists. I believe Dell has fixed OVL compatibility with BIOS. Can you help me resolve this? Thanks! TC Wahid
