I purchased a Fujitsu Celsius M730n to assemble an inexpensive entry-level gaming rig. Here’s the user guide: https://support.ts.fujitsu.com/indexdown...cdd526dfa8. I believed I secured a solid discount, but the setup didn’t go as planned. The device had all its RAM, storage drives, and GPU removed. Some internal connectors were also disconnected, so I connected what I thought was functional—such as the front I/O port and a USB 3.0 port on the board. I added a RAM stick and a GTX 960 graphics card. The system runs a Xeon E5-1620v2 processor; I confirmed it’s undamaged. The motherboard model is D3128-A25 GS1. Despite multiple attempts to boot, the PC failed completely. Even after confirming the power cord was connected and tested, and ensuring compatibility with other machines, no power issues were detected. I tried shorting the red I/O pins, testing RAM slots in various positions, removing the CMOS battery, and even grounding the green wire on the PSU. Nothing worked. I unplugged everything from the case and moved the board outside the case for testing. The same outcome persisted. I consulted a Linux tutorial about handling no-start scenarios and tried connecting a hard drive alone, but found no spinning fan noise. Shorting the green wire to ground and attempting startup also failed. I checked for common pitfalls with Fujitsu boards—some require specific wiring or parts that aren’t standard. I’m unsure if there are adapters available to test with a regular PSU. I searched online but couldn’t locate compatible components. I also ordered ECC RAM for future testing.
