The new laptop is functioning well overall, but the OEM SK HYNIX PC801 is not meeting performance expectations. Random read and write speeds are significantly lower than expected—currently around 574 MB/s, far below the typical 2500 range. Could there be a hardware issue or software conflict affecting it? The Dell G16 7620 model might be experiencing performance bottlenecks under these conditions.

Suggest using the provided link to locate a fresh driver. Begin with this option and let me know if it fails. Also, consider updating your profile information if possible.

I don’t believe space is the problem. There is still 755 Gb available.

Windows 10 or 11? Are the newest updates applied? Were any updates left by third-party tools? Did you tweak the system? Possibly improved the SSD with SSDFresh? Did you run a cleanup using the built-in defragmenter?

What is the percentage of drive usage? Are there any other accesses to the drive? What is the temperature of the drive?

It's using Windows 11 Home. I recently ran SSD Fresh but haven't noticed much progress. I'm settling for the current setup. I'll contact Dell regarding a warranty replacement. Appreciate your assistance. Stay successful.
