Hey there, I'm facing some trouble with my PC freezing up in all games and on various setups. I've tried cleaning out drives, changing GPUs and RAM to different configurations, updating the BIOS and drivers, turning off TPM and back on it. Still nothing. I also swapped the video and power cables, but the issue remains mostly limited to gaming sessions—idle times in menus are okay. Monitoring tools show CPU and GPU usage plummet to zero during stutters.

My system specs: Intel i7-9700K, ASRock B365 Phantom Gaming, BIOS 4.40, AMD Radeon 6950XT, Nvidia GTX 1060, Intel UHD Graphics 630. RAM is Corsair Vengeance PRO 2x16GB DDR4, SK HYNIX 2X8GB. PSU is an old EVGA 850 BQ (about six years), OS SSD is Sandisk 500GB, Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB, HDD is Sandisk 1TB. Monitor is Asus TUF 32", OS is Windows 11 22H2.

I'm unfamiliar with a PSU leading to this problem. My only thought was a heavily bloated operating system or bad coding—I experienced something similar in Dishonored 2. It could create complications too. Have you considered removing one GPU or turning it off in software?

This seems to come from a win 8 to win 11 progression, which is possible. Poor coding could be a factor, but it appears to show up in every game. I don't play all three at once, yet the issue remains.

The top officially recognized DDR speed for the 9700K is 2666. Have you experimented with that setting (XMP enabled)?

It's likely you're referring to removing them one by one, excluding the iGPU. Just to be sure, unless your installation is very tidy.

The sk RAM operates at 2133 but continues to have problems even when using just that setting.
