I recently took apart and reassembled my PC into a new case, and it looks like a screw is lodged in the standoff. I’m not sure what to do—please help me out.

I took a screwdriver and inserted it into the screw while gripping another metal part to keep it steady and prevent twisting.

When attempting the task, the screw j remains stationary which is the problem; I'll give it another shot.

Yes, it stays still because you didn’t grip the part that’s stuck in your other hand, which stops it from turning

I’ll attempt using a plier as well, but I’m holding the other side—it’s stuck.

Grip the standoff with pliers or a wrench and attempt to remove the screw once more. When resistance is strong and you feel the tool slipping, consider handling it like a screw during future motherboard installations. If it remains stuck, the screw likely has cross-threads or was over-tightened.
