I recently faced unexpectedly high CPU usage with no clear cause. I backed up all my drives and reinstalled Windows. After updating drivers and completing the installation, I moved the default folders to my G drive under a "media" folder containing videos, pictures, music, and documents. However, the "media" folder has shifted to my F drive, and now only the "pix" folder remains there, which should be on G. Despite changing locations, the files still open correctly, but I’m receiving error messages claiming the location doesn’t exist. It’s confusing how Windows altered my directories and moved files without my consent. This has become a major issue after the fresh install, especially since I rely heavily on those photos and videos. Why does this keep happening? How can I restore the original setup?
