I recently purchased an RX 5500 XT on Facebook Marketplace for $50, which was a great deal. However, it doesn’t seem to function properly. The warranty cover remains intact, so I suspect the issue isn’t hardware-related—it might be a software problem. I’ve installed it on two different computers with Intel chips and integrated graphics, but the same problem persists. On both systems, after running DDU, removing the old card, inserting the new one, connecting the HDMI cable, and booting, Windows installs drivers successfully. But during the driver setup process, Windows sometimes grabs its own drivers, causing the screen to go black temporarily before freezing with either a BIOS or Windows loading screen. After a few minutes, it restarts and works again when I reinstall the card. I haven’t tried changing the BIOS settings on the card itself, but any advice would be appreciated.

Refers to situations where Windows automatically installs drivers, possibly during updates or system checks.

It's actually quite straightforward. I'd also suggest using the enter key more often; this part is hard to read. Good luck!

I understand you're unsure about what an op means, but your question was helpful. The solution you found will be very useful now.

I confirmed this as well, but it was already disabled as demonstrated, which didn't resolve the issue. I reached out to AMD technical support and have been in back-and-forth discussions with them. Another suggestion came from Microsoft tech support regarding a separate problem case, indicating that the current drivers might have a bug and trying an older driver version could help.

It appears this situation is quite challenging. Older drivers are safe, but the lack of progress worries me... it might just be time to switch things up, even if it means turning off the PC completely first.

I've already attempted the switch, but it doesn't seem to work. The AMD support team is guiding me through simple fixes, which isn't helping much. Appreciate the advice!
