I recently purchased a prebuilt system with an RTX 5060 TI and 16GB of RAM from Gainward. Since I have limited experience with PCs, my friend suggested using GPU-Z to track GPU temperatures and other metrics. However, I noticed that under the bus interface section, it lists PCIe x8 5.0 support but still shows PCIe x8 4.0 even when under heavy load. Is this an issue or just a misunderstanding? Also, are there any other factors I should consider to ensure the system performs as expected? Thank you.

The MoBo model is not specified, but it might feature a PCI-E x16 port running PCI-E 4.0 rather than 5.0. If that's the case, the difference in performance would be minimal, affecting only 1-3 FPS. For more details, refer to the provided link. You can test the build with benchmarks like Cinebench for CPU and Unigine Superposition for GPU.

The motherboard model is ASUS MOTHERBOARD MATX PRIME B650M-A WIFI II DDR5 AM5 /AMD. Thank you, I will proceed with that as well.

The motherboard only allows PCIe 4.0 in the main PCIe port, and the RTX 5060 and 5060 TI (8GB/16GB) are connected via an x8 bus, meaning they utilize only x8 lanes in that slot.
You don't need to be concerned as you should experience no more than a 3-5% drop in performance with the 16GB version.

In short, you're not losing much, right? Thanks!

In essence, you're not losing anything significant. A 1-3 FPS drop is negligible.
