Hello!!! Are there any experts in razer software here? I don’t want to start analyzing the fault with razer support since I don’t trust any official help, but I rely on people in forums.

The issue started after I bought the Razer Blackshark v2 headset with THX Spartial sound. I installed it fine and turned on the built-in THX Spartial sound, but the in-game audio remains flat. I’m using a correct playback device for THX Spartial Sound. I tried adjusting my equalizer, but it keeps resetting. After applying changes and restarting the PC, it still returns to default flat sound.

Any suggestions on where the problem might be?

it usually functions during a single gaming session if I adjust certain settings like bass boost or sound normalization, but once I exit the game or even switch to another mode it returns to the default settings.

currently, i think thx works best with a thx spatial audio playback device; otherwise, the sound quality is quite poor, similar to using the cheapest headset available. switching to a usb sound card playback device improves the experience significantly, though i’m not sure if thx is still available.

Razer. Phifft. Sorry I'm mifft at them. I'm dealing with some Razer Mouse issues.
Have you considered checking the device manager and turning off other sound devices Microsoft might have installed? (Such as Realtek, AMD?) Just one should be Razer's software.
Graphic card makers often install their own audio apps with driver updates, which can be frustrating when troubleshooting audio problems.
Turn off all the other sound devices when installing new headset software.
In Windows 10, navigate to Control Panel> Category> large icons (top right corner)> Device Manager> scroll down to 'Sound video and game controllers'> double click 'Realtek High definition Audio'> locate the driver tab> select 'Disable this device'.
Repeat this for any other video driver devices in the Sound and Video game controllers section.
Return to Control Panel> Sound> select 'Headset Earphone' (which should display Razer Headset) and click the configure button. Click 'Apply' and you should be good to go.
