Problem with Raspberry Pi Wi-Fi connection
Hey, I've been using a Raspberry Pi 4 for a while now. I installed the OS from an SD card that already had the original Noobs installer, and I've run updates without any setup. Now I'm trying to set up remote desktop, but I only have one LAN cable in my room, so I can't connect via LAN on the Pi. I also have a second model with Wi-Fi, but when I try to connect, it drops after about 40 seconds and then fails to reconnect. Can you help? Thanks!
There seems to be a problem needing either Wi-Fi or Ethernet active simultaneously, which won't work together. I'm not fully sure about the latest fix, possibly a kernel update resolved it. Consider using an HDMI cable and connecting directly to your monitor. Also, ensure you have a strong enough power source—standard phone charging won't function properly. You'll need at least 3.1 Amps at 5V.
I'm using my primary device at home, which runs at full capacity in my room that contains the Raspberry Pi. Everything is working fine, but I really want the ability to set it up anywhere with Wi-Fi.
